BIO
Alain-Bernard Pompilus, Ph.D.
Doctor Alain-Bernard Pompilus is the Owner and Principal Consultant of Diaspora Managed Development, LLC (Diaspora Partners), a leading international development and business-consulting firm. Alain, who is of Haitian descent, has been fortunate to work in international development and the non-profit arena for many years. In addition to valuable in-country experience Alain's research has been circulated amongst development professionals in academic conferences such as the International Studies Association. The results of Dr. Pompilus' research has supported that development initiatives are greatly accelerated by the active participation of the diaspora. Not only is the diaspora highly educated but they are equipped with the language and cultural skills to navigate development project in their homeland.
In pursuit of becoming being a leading voice in international development Doctor Pompilus has combined his practical knowledge with advance academic pursuits. Doctor Alain-Bernad Pompilus earned his doctoral degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in International Development with an Economics and Social-Cultural concentration. In addition, Alain has earned his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida. In his professional career Alain had earned his Series 7 and 66 licenses qualifying him to manage investment portfolios with assets of over $5 Billion.
Dr. Pompilus' vision for Diaspora Partners involves creating a network of bringing proven and accomplished diaspora who offer immediate impact and value to international projects around the world. Alain’s vision is congruent with the United Nations, USAID, and the World bank in publicly recognizing the diaspora as integral actors to sustainable growth and development to low developed countries.
